Jim entered the Masonry Trade right out of high school in 1972 after being positively influenced by his high school masonry
teacher, Phillip Gow. His high school courses consisted of hands on masonry and technical training. His education continued with
Brevard Community College where he studied technical drawing and reading blue prints. He continued to work his way up through
the trade while training with master masons; the most influential being, Allen Payne of Melbourne, Florida.
Jim has hands on working knowledge of all the masonry trades which enables him to see all jobs from start to finish instead of just
one specialty field. This includes: Concrete, block, brick, stone, tile, stucco, glass blocks, waterfalls, planters, decks, sidewalks and
masonry fire places.
Having worked in Brevard County for 35 years, Jim has worked with a multitude of local Contractors and Builders. He is well known
for his professionalism and attention to detail. He has that unique ability to listen to the Customer's ideas and desires while
understanding the contractors needs in relation to building codes and standards.
In 1999 Jim opened his own business specializing in Custom Stone Design. From the individual home owner to the Professional
Contractor, each job is tailored to your needs and desires. Jim works as a one man business to insure you get his top standards of
workmanship. The ART of stone design comes from years of experience and training with Building Contractors, Pool Designers
and Landscape Architects.
Jim encourages you to always ask to see a contractor and/or sub-contractors license, certificate of competency and proof of
insurance. Protect yourself and the honest hard working licensed contractors and sub-contractors of this beautiful county. A
professional stone job can add that much needed equity to the value of your home as well as giving you a finish that lasts a lifetime
needing very little if any maintenance or repair.
Thank you for visiting,
Jim Lemon
